A grateful triathlete writes us:
I wanted to send a special thanks to those of you who assisted us at the Pelican Point Triathlon. When I saw the conditions of the Bay early that morning, I started praying for an angel to stay with me for that swim. Lo and behold, she appeared in white - a white Acadian kayak, and stayed close until she knew I was safe. I know a couple of fellow "pink-cappers" who would agree - we surely could not have finished the swim without knowing she and the others were right there if we needed them.
Thank you again for your support!
Linda

Bruce reports that at least ten kayaks were at Pelican Point to guide and support during the swim leg of the Triathlon this year, and that conditions were, indeed, challenging for swimmers and paddlers alike. (Editor's note: I personally thought the official Triathlon t-shirt was particularly fine this year, and it had the MBCAKC's name on the back, which we appreciate.)
